On January 25, 2021, the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors approved a Special Use Permit application for the operation of the Pulaski Solar Projects. The Special Use Permit was approved in accordance with an application and preliminary site plan dated November 18, 2020. Since the issuance of the Special Use Permit, Hecate has conducted additional geotechnical and engineering evaluations that resulted in a refinement and improvement of the preliminary site plan approved in January 2021. Additionally, advancements have been made in commercially available technology, and new panel modules allow for optimization of the layout. As a result of these further engineering evaluations and layout optimization, Hecate has amended the preliminary site plan to include and remove parcels of land, refine the point of interconnection and add a switching station and optimize the layout with state of the art racking and panel systems.
In September 2021, Hecate submitted a request for an amended Special Use Permit as a result of these layout changes.
Once approved, The Applicant anticipates that construction activities would commence in 2025. The Project is expected to be in operation for at least 35 years.
